Design 1

Got Space? by Copete Cohete

Description: I was attracted to this picture when I saw it. Although the colours are not very bright, the drawing technique is memorable and the artist handled the details. The poster really expressed the theme very well, which is the overpopulation of urban areas. Moreover, I like that the artist utilised an isometric perspective to draw this poster. Its ability to convey more details in the designs through depth gives out a 3D effect in the artwork. Thus, the audience can understand the concept easily.

COVID-19 Illustrations by Kinga Offert

Description: The theme is the COVID-19 illustrations. The tetradic colour scheme (green, blue, pink, and orange) is utilised in this artwork. I like the compositions, concept, drawing style, and colour used. As an audience member, I can understand the meaning of this poster. It expresses what most children do when they have a break during an epidemic, something I empathised with when I was in secondary school.

Description: This poster is from the People Poster Design Collection. I like the combination of people's photography with abstract and geometric shapes full of colour using the digital collage technique and mixing real photography with abstract forms to create this digital art. Although the concept is minimalism, the composition makes the poster stand out.

4.1 PART 1: IDEA DEVELOPMENT (WEEK 11)

1. Write a biography about yourself

INTRO	My name is Gu Qian Kuan, and I hail from the vibrant city of Shanghai, China. At 19 years old, I've always had a passion for exploring new places and cultures. Currently, I'm pursuing my Bachelor's degree in Tourism Management, aligning with my lifelong love for travel.
PARAGRAPH 1	From a young age, my fascination with the world led me to develop a keen interest in traveling. Exploring the diverse landscapes and immersing myself in different cultures have been integral parts of my upbringing. Despite being a native of China, my curiosity has allowed me to appreciate the beauty of various destinations worldwide. I actively seek opportunities to travel and broaden my horizons, cherishing each new experience.
PARAGRAPH 2	In addition to my passion for exploration, I draw inspiration from the harmonious blend of modern and traditional elements. The liberating essence of free-spirited living is a guiding force in my life, shaping my style into a celebration of freedom. My fashion choices, reflective of this unrestrained spirit, seamlessly merge the carefree feeling of freedom with contemporary aesthetics.
SUMMARY	As I continue my journey, I aspire to make a mark in the realm of tourism and fashion. INTRO	My poster revolves around the theme "Free-spirited Sunset," where I transform the traditional sunset into a vibrant orange, symbolizing my love for freedom and the unconventional. This concept aligns perfectly with my free-spirited personality, emphasizing my desire for unrestrained creativity. Through this visual representation, I aim to convey my passion for exploration and the joy of embracing the unconventional.
PARAGRAPH 1	To capture the essence of my personality, the design will feature bold and vibrant colors, mirroring the energy and enthusiasm associated with a free-spirited lifestyle. I'll incorporate dynamic patterns that evoke a sense of movement, representing the ever-changing nature of life. Illustrations and images inspired by my love for travel will further enhance the visual narrative, creating a captivating and lively composition.
PARAGRAPH 2	The incorporation of fashion elements will play a crucial role in defining the overall aesthetic. Utilizing clothing patterns and accessories will infuse the design with a touch of personal style. Typography will be uniquely tailored to reflect my individuality, using a font that resonates with my character. Small icons and symbols will be strategically placed to symbolize my passion for freedom, travel, and any other elements that encapsulate the spirit of Y2K.
SUMMARY	My goal is to craft a poster that is distinctly mine, capturing the essence of what brings me joy and embodying my carefree spirit. Experimenting with various design elements, I intend to create a visually compelling piece that not only resonates with me but also invites others to appreciate the beauty of living authentically and embracing a free-spirited lifestyle.
